Black Magic Anti Shank Wedges

Customers Believe These are Best New Golf Wedges for Taking Off Strokes and Lowering Score Results Golf knows the best advertisement is making sure that their wedges live up to their customers’ needs. Many of their customers have let them know that these are the best new golf wedges for all types of short game shots and many come back for a second and third purchase,” a spokesperson said.

bmw-bestnewgolfwedgesSome of the reasons they feel that the Black Magic brand of wedges are the best new golf wedges available lies with the innovative thinking and technology for helping the average player with difficult shots that the pros make look so easy with standard wedges. Best New Golf Wedges

All it takes for some golfers is to hit a couple of shanks with a short iron and wedge shots and their confidence with a wedge is pretty much lost. They will then revert to a longer iron where the hosel is not so severe giving them little chance to get over bunkers and obstacles where wedges perform best for those shots. Now with the shank free Black Magic Wedges they can feel a great relief knowing that they too can pitch and chip shots with that great confidence.

The Black Magic Wedges Conforms to USGA Rules. They have a zero degree bounce angle at impact with a leading edge that wraps completely around the heel of the club so players can easily play with the face angle for different degrees of lift without ever hitting a shank. The hybrid bottom greatly reduces chunking shots which is a big cause of leaving your ball short of your target.

Why are Golf Clubs closing down

The golf clubs have got to be more imaginative in there membership offerings. The majority of players do not want or can afford to have so called 7 day membership to only play on a Saturday or a Sunday.  I for example can only play on a Tuesday and Thursday so why join a golf club when I can play anywhere I want for a lot less money. This why the “floating golfer” is taking advantage of cheap green fees to play other golf courses.
They also have to be more family friendly. Go to the continent and see the families at the golf clubs it is part of the social scene. We have to get rid of the old style “fuddy duddy” “must maintain Standards” attitude that prevails at a lot of golf clubs. Dress codes that are so out of synche with the rest of modern society. How many men in all walks of life never wear a tie with a suit these days it is seen everywhere.
Until the clubs embrace this modern world they will continue to die. I think that the time a round takes is a red herring the clubs have just got to be more accommodating as to when players want to play their golf. I also believe that the ” 2 for1″ promotions while looking good for the clubs has killed revenue and encouraged golfers from being club members.
Change in attitude will bring a change in fortune for the average golf club

In Car Caddy Charger

A Brand new product has just come on the market after years of research at Newcastle University. This product will revolutionise the way trolley batteries are recharged.

Introducing the… Caddy Charger

Caddy Charger

Caddy Charger removes a huge inconvenience for golfers with electric caddies. Currently a caddy user is obliged to lift their (small but heavy duty) battery out of the car and into their house to be charged by mains electricity supply, either overnight or for a significant period of time. Batteries are currently carried by being inserted into a bag with a carry handle.

Play round after round of golf on consecutive days with all the charge you need for your caddy. Only remove the battery from your car when you need it to play.

power for 18 holes in 35 minutes

The price is £120 so just think of all the electricity you can save

Barrie Stevens at the PGA Fourball Championship

Senior PGA Professional Championship

Senior PGA Professional Championship

Beau Desert Golf Club’s Barrie Stevens hopes this will be a ‘golden year’ for him at the PGA Fourball Championship.

Stevens is partnering Little Aston PGA Professional Brian Rimmer at the Forest Pines event and the West Midlands pair hope they will finally be rewarded with some success after several failed attempts to get to the final.

The £28,750 showpiece, which is supported by BMW, will be held at Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Club in Lincolnshire on October 2-4 and while Stevens has represented the Cannock club in the final before, he’s never managed to get there with former PGA Cup player Rimmer.

“You would think we’d be one of the more experienced pairings in the final – but actually this is the first time we’ve got there together,” explained Stevens.

“We must have made six or seven attempts and this time we finally made it, even though we needed a play-off to qualify so we’re hoping this is going to be the golden year for us!

“Funnily enough, I’ve got there twice without Brian as he was injured both times.”

Stevens says it is Rimmer who will go into the final in better form this year.

He added: “Brian won the Staffordshire Match Play Championship recently. I’ve actually being concentrating more on the playing side this year, but it’s been disappointing as I’ve had a few injuries which have held me back.

“We’ve got this final to try and end the season well and I’m looking forward to playing Forest Pines as it’s a tight course, a bit like Beau Desert. It’s also long, and Brian’s more of a long player so we’ll gel.

“We’re good friends and play a lot in the winter. I think we’ll probably be one of the older pairings there, but we’ve certainly got experience on our side.”

Other Midlands teams taking part at Forest Pines include last year’s runners up Matthew Cort (Rothley Park) and Craig Shave (Whetstone).

Also taking part will be in-form Ian Walley (Kedleston Park) and James Whatley  (Morley Hayes); father and son pairing Gary and James Stafford (Burton On Trent); Mark Sparrow (Himley Hall) and Matt McGuire (Stoneleigh Deer Park); and  Jack Lynch with Kevin Lock (Horsley Lodge).
